Rank and file electricians and supporters cause chaos at the Crossrail site in Westbourne Park, London. Lots of workers refuse to cross the picket line, all deliveries are stopped for the day and the site is invaded. All 28 UNITE members (including 3 reps) working for an electrcal contractor were sacked after the union raised concerns over an exposed 11,000 volt live cable and tunnel safety. This is a major battle against sackings, blacklisting and for proper safety on bulding sites, and a major attack against the biggest union in the country. Come and get involved.
