London: Huge, furious and young Black Lives Matter march

Thousands of mainly young and working-class people descended on Parliament Square in London for the Black Lives Matter march, in fury not only at the murder of George Floyd in the USA, but at the systemic racism in the UK too.

The march was very peaceful but very angry, with protestors pointing out the number of BAME people murdered by the police in this country, the overt racism of the Home Office, and the disproportionate effect on BAME people of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is a young generation that is sick and tired of the racism they have to suffer day in day out, and with the uprising in the USA mounting a serious challenge to white supremacy, finally sees a chance to do something about it.
