In the past few weeks, two UNITE members have been sacked for raising serious health and safety concerns on the Crossrail project – a project where one worker has already been killed and many injured. This is the start of a major campaign to reinstate the workers and ensure the biggest construction project in Europe is a safe place to work. The next protest is a big one: mass picket of the Construction News awards ceremony on Wednesday March 18 at 6pm, at the Hilton hotel, Park Lane.
