But after traders endorsed Green Party candidates, their wins across the borough have come with a promise to fight for the indoor market.
This has brought new hope to traders and those who stand in solidarity with them. The era of the Labour Party’s neglect of the Shopping Village – making promises they failed to keep and ignoring the council’s own equalities framework – has now come to an end.
