Protest march by immigrants in Athens. 17-3-12 A march by immigrants, refugees and their leftwing supporters in Athens against attacks by racists and far right activists. The protest was called specifically against the recent gains by the neo nazi Goldon Dawn Party who claimed ownership of St Panteleimonas square and the surrounding neighbourhood. The march was prevented from reaching the square by heavily armed riot Police who kept the two sides apart.
